If you are reading this and feeling confused about food in perimenopause, I want to start by saying this very clearly:

• You are not failing.

• You are not lazy.

• You are not lacking willpower.

• You are not “bad at being healthy”.

Heart-shaped cluster of pink and brown leaves on a beige background, forming a delicate and harmonious pattern, evoking a calm mood.

You are living in a body that is changing, and nobody really prepares women for how much perimenopause can affect appetite, energy, cravings, weight, mood, sleep, and confidence around food.

This is exactly why I created the Perimenopause MOT. This is not a new fad diet, nor is it an overarching transformational promise, and it is absolutely not a quick fix.

The Perimenopause MOT is a kind, supportive starting point.

Where the idea came from

So many of the women I work with tell me the same thing in different ways:

“I just want to know what I should actually be doing.”

They are tired of Googling, trying different plans, and feeling like they are getting it wrong. The women I work with and in my community want clarity. They want to understand how to nourish themselves so they can feel confident and believe that change is possible for them.

Women need kindness, not judgement. With this in mind, I created the Perimenopause MOT.

What the Perimenopause MOT is really about

At its heart, the Perimenopause MOT is about helping women understand their everyday diet and how small, realistic changes can support their symptoms.

It is not about telling you everything you must change. It is about showing you what you can change, and helping you see that you are already capable of making changes, even if you don’t feel like it right now.

The Perimenopause MOT is about giving you clarity, support and encouragement so you can start to trust yourself again.

Why everyday diet matters in perimenopause

Perimenopause can affect:

• Energy

• Sleep

• Cravings

• Mood

• Anxiety

• Weight changes

• Brain fog

• Digestive comfort

• Joint pain

• Motivation

Nutrition will not “fix” perimenopause. But it can absolutely make it feel easier to live in your body.

By helping you find your forever way of eating, your blood sugar can become more stable, which often leads to steadier energy. Eating balanced meals can help cravings soften. As you notice these changes, your confidence and belief in yourself may begin to grow because your body is being supported and you are choosing yourself.

Why I don’t believe in overwhelming people

One of the reasons women struggle with nutrition is because they are given too much information, too quickly, and with no personal context.

The Perimenopause MOT is designed to be calm, clear and personalised. I take the time to understand your symptoms, lifestyle, routines and challenges.

It is a judgement-free space where you are met with care and understanding. We work together to find a simple starting point and build from there.

What happens in the consultation

During the one hour consultation, we go through:

• Your symptoms and how they may link to nutrition

• Your food diary and what is already working

• Where gentle changes could help

• The nutrition basics for perimenopause, explained simply

There is no pressure, no lectures, and no “you should”. Just a conversation focused on helping you feel clearer and more supported.

The meal plan is not a rule book

You then receive a 7 day meal plan with recipes, handouts and a shopping list based on your symptoms.

This is not about telling you what you are allowed to eat. It is about giving you ideas, structure and confidence, and showing you what balanced, supportive meals can look like in real life.

The aim is to help you think, “I could actually do this.”

Why the follow-up matters so much

The follow-up consultation is where we reflect on:

• What felt easy

• What felt harder

• What surprised you

• What you noticed in your body

This is where confidence starts to grow, because change does not come from being perfect. It comes from understanding yourself better.

Who the Perimenopause MOT is for

This is for women who:

• Feel confused about food

• Want clarity, not restriction

• Want encouragement, not pressure

• Want to feel more capable again

• Want support without judgement

It is for women who are not looking for a miracle, but who would love to feel more confident, calmer and more supported in their everyday choices.

What I hope women take away from it

More than anything, I want women to leave their Perimenopause MOT feeling that they can change their everyday diet in a kind, steady way that fits their life.

I want them to move away from perfection and quick fixes, and towards trust in themselves.

A gentle place to begin

If perimenopause has made food feel harder, heavier or more confusing, the Perimenopause MOT is a gentle place to start.

It offers clarity, encouragement and accountability. And sometimes, believing in yourself starts with someone else believing in you first.

If you would like to book a Perimenopause MOT, or simply ask questions, you are very welcome to get in touch. There is no pressure and no obligation. Just support, whenever you are ready.
